Abstract: 4-Methoxyaniline-5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrinatozinc(II), [(ZnTPP(MOAN)] 1 was synthesized (MOAN D 4-methoxyaniline) and characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopic techniques. The molecular structure of 1 was determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. The structure revealed a triclinic crystal system and the space group P1 with the central metal adopting slightly distorted square pyramidal geometry with 4-methoxyaniline in the axial position. The antimicrobial activities were carried out using a well diffusion method and the zone of inhibition of four bacteria and two fungi was measured.
